Project settings

Project settings let you configure each project individually. These settings are applied per project, so changes made here only affect the specific project you are editing.

You can access project settings in three ways:

  • Inside a project - click the gear icon on the right side of the project navigation bar
  • When creating a new project - configure the settings directly in the project settings drawer that opens during project creation
  • From the projects tab - click the gear icon on the right-hand side next to each project name row

1. General

The General section lets you configure the basic details of your project.

NameThe display name of the project
Project keyA short identifier used to reference the project
Project statusThe current status of the project (e.g. active, on hold, completed)
HealthAn indicator of how the project is progressing (e.g. on track, at risk, off track)
CategoryClassify the project under a category for easier filtering and organization
NotesAdd any relevant notes or context about the project
ClientsAssociate one or more clients with the project
Project managerAssign a team member as the project manager
Start dateSet the official start date of the project
End dateSet the target end date of the project
Estimated timeConfigure the estimated time calculation fields for the project

2. Advanced settings

Advanced settings allow project-wise configuration. These settings apply only to the individual project and do not affect other projects in the workspace.

2.1. Progress settings

Configure how task progress is calculated for this project. Only one method can be active at a time.

OptionDescription
Manual progressAllow manual progress updates for tasks without subtasks
Weighted progressCalculate progress based on subtask weights
Time-based progressCalculate progress based on estimated time

Toggle the option that best matches how your team tracks task completion for this project. Selecting one method automatically deactivates the others.

2.2. Task settings

Configure default behavior for tasks created in this project.

Assign tasks to creatorAutomatically assign new tasks to the team member who creates them

Toggle this setting on or off depending on your team’s preferred workflow for this project.
